Paris Day 2 - Part 1

This morning Mum and I headed off on the metro to E. Dehillerin.

E. Dehillerin is a kitchen shop that Julia Childs frequented when she lived in Paris.  It was an amazing store, still very original.  It opened in 1820 and it feels like time has stood still.  I loved looking through all the narrow aisles of copper pots, knives, whisks, pastry moulds.

Mum purchased a whisk she had been looking for, and I managed to purchase a small knife and a pomme (apple) corer.  Mike had suggested I look for a frying pan, but I didn't fancy lugging that around the rest of Northern Europe.
