Budapest Day Three

Today is Friday 13th so let's start with some bad luck, Helen has caught a head cold. We stayed in until late morning, after which we ventured out for only a few of hours.

We decided to head back to Mammut, the same mall as yesterday, because we were interested in a pots and pan set. We decided not to buy and lug it all around Europe.

We then walked back to where we discovered Mammut, yesterday when we had caught a bus down the hill from Fisherman's Bastion. We caught the same bus back again, which was a worthwhile journey because it took a different route over the hill and we got to see some more sights including up close of Budapest Castle.

After getting off we found a Lego bus, very cool.

Once off the bus, we needed some lunch. There was a nearly restaurant that offers a buffet lunch of largely genuine Hungarian food. We found the place, it was packed, and generally they let customers in only every two hours and were fully booked. But we opted to wait and soon a table became available so they offered us one hour to dine. That was plenty of time for us. Drinks and food were included for a set price. Here, we found many the foods we had seen at Christmas Markets, that we had wanted to try, but didn't want to pay crazy prices for. Things like stuffed cabbage and goulash soup. We left satisfied we'd tried all these foods in a restaurant that ultimately was better value then the markets. How ironic.

After this, it was about a 10 minute walk to the Gucci store where Helen wanted to go. Here she purchased a new wallet.

We then returned to our hotel to let Helen rest for the remainder of the day.
