Today is a day trip to the Dundee area which promises to be quite an adventure, despite the hour-long drive. Along the way, about 10 miles out of Scone, we serendipitously stumbled upon an Antique Centre, and given our shared fondness for exploring such places, we decided to take a look.
To our great delight, this Antique Centre turned out to be a real gem. We were among the first customers to step through the door, and we were greeted with an extensive selection of jewellery. I became particularly enthralled by the jewellery section and spent a full hour admiring the pieces on display. And then, I found it—the perfect amethyst ring I had been hoping for. It felt like serendipity, as this ring would serve as a special reminder of my father and our strong ties to Scotland. Having lived in Scotland for a while in the 2000s and having ancestral roots in Perth, it felt fitting to find such a meaningful piece during our travels. The fact that the ring fit me perfectly was the icing on the cake. It was truly a memorable and sentimental find.
The journey back to the campsite was uneventful, and despite the traffic starting to pick up around 4 pm, it was relatively smooth sailing, especially as we traveled mainly on the motorway between Dundee and Perth. Once we were back at the camp, we spent the evening catching up with family back home, observing fellow campers as they set up their sites, and enjoying some episodes of "Sanditon." It sounds like a relaxed and enjoyable way to wind down after a day of exploration and shopping.
