Yesterday, we enjoyed a bit of shopping. I didn't capture any photos, but we stumbled upon a fantastic retail park that had some stores Mum wanted to explore. Additionally, I had a couple of stops on my agenda, including a visit to Hobbycraft and Currys to pick up a few things I needed.
Today, we set our sights on Edinburgh and began our northward journey, which involves approximately 3 hours of driving. I planned to take the scenic route, and we decided to make a stop at Berwick-upon-Tweed to have lunch in the motorhome and soak in the picturesque surroundings along the way. It promises to be a memorable day of travel and exploration.
We reached the motorhome park around 2:45 pm, checked in smoothly, and located our pitch. After settling in, we embarked on a trip to Costco. It was quite an expedition as we stocked up on essentials for the trip and even managed to complete a year's worth of shopping for Mum.
While at Costco, I took the opportunity to explore the prices of Ring Door Bells and various other items. I stumbled upon some New Zealand produce, which added a touch of familiarity to the shopping experience. For nostalgia's sake, I decided to peruse the menu, reminiscing about the times when Mike and I used to dine here on Friday nights during our time living in Edinburgh—15 years ago now! Time has certainly flown by, and it's a testament to the enduring memories of this beautiful city.
It's quite remarkable—I can hardly believe it myself! Mum and I managed to navigate through Costco in just an hour. For me, that's a record as well, considering I usually spend about 4 hours in there. Given that we arrived with only 2 hours left until closing, I had initially anticipated that we might need to return tomorrow. But our efficient shopping spree was a pleasant surprise, allowing us to make the most of our time and get everything we needed in one swift visit.
