Glenfinnan

Glenfinnan is a beautiful little spot just inland of the west coast of Scotland, most well known these days as the Glenfinnan Viaduct was used in the Harry Potter movies: Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire. Over the Easter weekend we were unable to take a train over the viaduct but it was a site to be seen.

Within a few meters of the viaduct is the Glenfinnan Monument, where "Bonnie Prince Charlie"raised his standard, in 1745. It is such a beautiful situation on the edge of Loch Shiel.

Well the afternoon is moving on and we still need to make it to Malliag to check into our hotel for the night.
