I've made it to Lands End

We had a quiet couple of days, yesterday we headed for The Lizard, which is on the southeastern tip of England, the weather wasn't too kind to us, so it was a quick been there done that, and no photos to prove it.

From there we drove to a couple of small towns and had a restful afternoon in the motorhome.

Today we headed down towards Land's End via Marazion Beach where I got a couple of photos of St Michael's Mount, the tide was high so not walking out to the mount for us

From there we headed to Penzance, on the way I started to notice these lovely post boxes in people's fences and walls, managed to grab a photo of this old one with VR on it, so its at least 150ish years old.

We stopped off and got some gas at Penzance and then onto Land's End.  I had been reading that Land's End is privately owned land and I understand they need an income, but I was amazed at the commercialism of the attraction.  if you want to have your photo taken under the landmark post sign, well your'll need to part with some pounds but you get to write a sign of your own.  Mum wasn't up for the walk down from the carpark so I took a couple of photos, had a good look around,

found this postbox, which has a sign on it saying "This is the first and last post box in England..."  but then also has a sign in white saying "This postbox has been permanently removed from service...", seemed pretty funny.

I finished off my look around with getting mum some fish and chips for lunch, she seem to enjoy this.

From Land's End we drive up the west coast to St Ives, we were unable to get parking this late in the day, but we did drive around and Mum managed to get this short video of the beach and harbour, good one her for giving it go, I think it was meant to be photo but still well done.
