At Jethro's we had a half hour wait for a table, not bad for a popular place. It's in a very small shopping centre with not much else to see or do, so hungry diners-to-be mostly hang around outside. We finally got seated and received our food around 11am and what a meal! This is great food, big portions for the novelty factor, but quality with it. There menus say "eat responsibly" - yeah right!!!!
Jethro's was next to the most cute, little residential street where the houses have steps up to their front porch, and maple leaves adorn the ground.
After filling up on food, we needed to walk it off. We took a bus ride back toward the city, stopping in Granville Island which is small area of land (not actually an island) which has a mixture of public markets, and unique arts/crafts shops, clothing, buskers etc.
It was great to walk through the markets and not feel hungry at all. We let our eyes and camera lenses do the eating for us. Here's a taste of what we didn't buy. Better for the wallet and the waistline.
Next, John decided to return to the Apple Store downtown, and make a purchase of the new iPod Touch. Well done... new toy, shiny! We then shopped around some more, and finally headed via underground to the Central Pacific Station.
Here, we picked up our rental car. It is from Alberta, which apparently gets very cold. It has a power connector on the front (to plug in to charge the battery and keep it warm) and has ice scrapers in the back. We hope we never need these on our journey.
Tomorrow, we take to the road, this is our last night in Vancouver.
