Travelling to London
I’m on holiday at last! My travels from Wellington to London went according to plan. It was surprising to see how much Auckland airport has grown since I was last there and the construction work is finished. It certainly is a much longer walk to the plane that used to be.
Both international legs were fully booked with no free seats, however from Los Angeles to London I was fortunate enough to be moved to the back row with a spare seat next to me which is always nice.
Once I arrived in London, it took me nearly 1.5 hours to clear immigration before I was able to collect my suitcase and meet Helen who was waiting for me there. After that, it was a short walk to our hotel attached to the airport by a covered walkway. Let the holiday begin.
