A day out on the barge Louisa

While I was planning my trip to the UK I signed myself up to Groupon, like NZ's GrabOne, on one of the days a deal came up for a day on the Upper Thames on a restored barge called Louisa.


After making my way to Reading very early this morning I arrived at the boat around 9.15am well and truly on time for our 10am sailing.


It is an all day trip making our way from Mapledurham House Goring-on-Thames, where we stop for lunch and then come back down to have a cream tea on our arrival.  There were 9 of use on board and three crew.  This was the most relaxing part of the trip by far and I have fallen in love with motoring along the canals of England, the sites and relaxing feel of this type of travel is just great.
